Friday Roundup
Here’s what’s not to miss this week. Before, I go on, just a reminder you have just 4 days left to get my 5 star rated LinkedIn course here absolutely free.
The special offer is available to anyone who upgrades to the annual paid version of my newsletter, along with all the other benefits you get from being a paid subscriber (Monday deep dive articles, direct messaging, access to the full archive of articles).
At 23:59 on Tuesday 30th April, the offer (and the course) will disappear forever!
Don’t be late.
Also, if you’ve not yet contacted me about my pilot Program Procurement Soft Skills Mastery (enrolment closes next Friday) and are interested in being part of the special founders round.
Just hit reply to this e-mail with the words “I’m interested” and I’ll send you all the details.

Digital Transformation expert wrote this brilliantly insightful piece today on the Business Model for Television is it broken? Okay, it’s not strictly Procurement but it’s a fascinating insight into our changing world and how we consume our media.
There’s this guy I used to know called . We’ve not spoke in months but I just love everything he writes. Even if I don’t agree with what he says, he’s an incredible researcher and intelligent writer. Are you advertising for a Procurement role this year? If you do, please take note of the following article here about the four things that should be removed from the job spec. I couldn’t have put this better myself.
It’s interesting and I would say great news to see that Apple are taking such firm action with those suppliers not fulfilling the audit obligations. You can read the full article here but this action really does feel like firm commitment with an ethical undertone.
“Apple has been working to reduce its greenhouse gas emissions in a bid to make its entire supply chain entirely carbon neutral by 2030. The company has also been calling on its suppliers to decarbonize operations through methods like renewable energy. But responsible sourcing extends to humanitarian issues, too.”
Here’s a refreshing example of a company prepared to take firm action.
Have a great weekend.
And don’t forget to hit reply with the words “I’m interested” if you want to find out more about my course. Enrolment closes next Friday 3rd May.
